Steve Bradley founded Ace Chimney Sweep in Louisville in 1978 with a set of sweep tools and a truck to support himself. Ultimately, he ended up supporting his family and a whole community.
For three decades, he built a reputation across Jefferson, Bullitt, Spencer, Shelby and Nelson counties.His children expanded the company to extend into Lexington and southern Indiana.
In 2008, his son Dustin joined the business. Two years later, son-in-law Justin Bishop came aboard. By 2015, the family had grown the operation further still — Dustin's wife Devyn and Steve's daughter Brittany Bishop stepped in, developing a management team and support staff of family members, relatives, and close friends. They understand that the name above the door of their fireplace store is their family's legacy. They work together step by step, one customer at a time, to keep that legacy shining.
Steve retired in 2019. The family he built the business around kept building. Today, Ace Chimney, Fireplace & Outdoor Living operates as a CSIA-certified, National Chimney Sweep Guild member and Better Business Bureau-accredited A+ company. Those credentials reflect what the Bradleys have always required of their technicians, training that goes well beyond the minimum, inspections that miss nothing, and work that holds up long after their truck leaves your driveway.
